Is what the doc said recovery would be like from her tonsillectomy. Here she is ready to go (still has her huge tonsils)
At the hospital, she was starting to get nervous, but still her brave little self. I got to go into the operating room with her and put her on the table and hold her hand as she fell asleep. She was awesome, so still, she laid there and breathed the anestehia like a champ, no kicking or screaming. The nurse said she had never ever seen a kid Jo's age be that clam. I read a book to her almost every day leading up to the surgery and she knew exactly what was gonna happen so she was ready.
Of coarse you can't be in the hospital with out some special treatment. Here is the pillow pet she begged for, for months =)
On the ride home. Eating some ice chips. She did such a good job, eating and drinking when asked.
The next morning. A high right, loopy from pain meds.
Still a little loopy, dressed up as Aerial while watching The Little Mermaid.
Lots of ice cream, she says oohhh this is cold and feels so good!
Back to a low last night and this morning with bad ear aches. After a little medicine she is back to her old self. She should be back to normal in about a week. Can't wait to get back to gymnastics, cheer and running around outside.
